But do you need to bind multiple seat, multiple display with multiple user. They should not have direct links. I don't think multiple seat designer like to bind it to multiple users scope. At least for weston/wayland, they just want to bind it to their own display instead of multiple-user. This is an idea not related with privacy. It is the design idea for your multiple seats, multiple displays. Please don't always bind shared hardware resource into your multiple user scope. One clear example is multiple apps could rendering in one GPU. They don't need multiple users or single user idea in their rendering process. I've not yet seen any justification WHY, in your opinion, the idea is not good. [Wang, Quanxian] my opinion is ‘multiple users should be separated from multiple displays, and multiple seats instead of binding them together.’ It will be flexible to use them in the future whatever for single user or multiple user. I have read the doc of Multiseat_Setup. Your setup guide is right to say one thing, any user could use any displays which owned by machine even if you limit it one user/one display, but this can be changed. That is what we want. Therefore multiple users mechanism is not related with multiple displays and multiple seats. Any user could use any displays which owned by machine. It should be out of scope of multi users. It is also my point expressed. If you limit it to multiple user, I think you finally will be limited by multiple user mechanism. Here I just list my idea on your design, it is a discussion. My original idea is to provide more thinking if our current design idea are fine for all or future. I am sorry to say it later because I am investigating if multiple user could use multiple displays at the same time separately with one user account, here I don’t need to think about privacy. I want tizen ivi will be flexible for multiple seats , multiple displays instead of under the scope of multiple user. Actually your multiple-seats configure setup have the appearance to do that. wayland-parent, wayland-child, one user/one display… Still, anyone could use any displays and seats owned by machine under the permission. Whatever for single users or multiple users… As Dominig wrote, we have requirements to fulfill. "It's not a good idea" is not enough to say if a requirement is not implemented. Please also have a look https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI/Multiseat_Setup that gives details on the work we have ongoing. [Wang, Quanxian]Good doc. -- Mikko
