At this point, I think it's a systemic problem (not a driver problem), but if someone can convince me otherwise, I'll look at the tuner code again and see if there's anything we can do. Since I can't see any quality problems on the system I've tested (with 4 LG TAPE tuners), I haven't had any reason to dig farther (i.e. I don't have any itches :) ). Also, testing a problem that I can't duplicate would prove challenging--not that I don't enjoy a challenge, but finding a non-existant problem is not my idea of an interesting challenge (i.e. I don't enjoy chasing wild gooses), so I want some proof that there is a problem before I devote any time to it.
