How do I know if I have the Samsung or the Phillips tuner? lspci -v told me nothing and I couldn't find any markings on the card itself.

I see the exact same difference in quality with a PVR-500 from last year
(Philips tuner) and a recent PVR-500 (Samsung tuner). The Philips
was/is beautiful, the Samsung looked like it had MPEG compression
"artifacts" all over the place. Since they are in different MythTV
boxes, I put the Samsungs into a different recording Recording Profile,
and cranked up the quality settings. Now the artifacts are gone, but it
still looks a little "grainy".
