Josh: Remember that the PVR-150/500 is (by Hauppauge's own admission) a 
cheaper card than the PVR-250/350. It stands to reason that they cut back on 
tuner sensitivity.

Jonathan: I've got a powered 4-way splitter, too, and I'm having broblems 
with digital breakup on my cable boxes. Can you tell me (us) about your 
signal booster (brand, model, price, source)?
