Please stick to kernel 2.6.16 and ivtv-0.6. Later versions will only 
confuse matters. I do recommend using the ivtv-0.6 development snapshot 
(http://ivtvdriver.org/viewcvs/ivtv/branches/0.6.tar.gz?view=tar) as it 
has the 'newi2c=0' module option.

Once you have installed this then let me know the results using newi2c=0 
and newi2c=1 (no other options or debug flags) and we'll take it from 
there.
