As I've mentioned before on the list I'm having some problems with my
PVR500. It'll mute on it's own. Last night it would on the first tuner
start to record and created a 0 size file and not record but show it was
in use. The second tuner on the same card worked fine though. Rebooting
cleared it right up.

The output from "v4l2-ctl --all --device=/dev/video0" looked OK. Is there
a better command to use to trouble shoot it?

I've read that heat could be an issue sometimes. My case is well vented.
I am considering putting in one of those fans that fits in a slot just to
make sure. I did leave a space between the two cards cause I was worried
about heat.

I'm wondering though if my firmware is OK ? I kept seeing the ivtv dmesg
report negative bytes in it's output and I wondered about that. Is that a
problem?
