Well, it is somewhat more complicated:
- Is the number-insert also needed for the midrange PICs?
(will apply to Timer2 only: conflict with the datasheet)
- Is the number insert also needed for Timer2 of the 18Fs?
(might conflict with the datasheets, but I didn't check all)

What is 'old'? Do you mean the one with the TMR registers?
