python, java and other crossplatform languages have such libraries. I think
it's out of topic regarding including them in jallib-pack. Since it's
application related, users will have their own preferences. As for
tutorials, we may suggest widely used apps: win terminal under Windows (I
think that's the name), and minicom under linux (I usually use "cu", bu may
be kind of archaic...)
