I thought about this, and then also considered publishing to our website.
We'd then need to create these directories, but remembered we had permission
issues. So I kind of prefixed image with tutorial subject (pwm_, i2c_, ...).
While publishing to website, I needed to replace image href from "images/*"
to "/sites/default/files/images/*". This can be done with a script.

Ideally what you suggest is better, but I need to figure out how to do
create those directories. And scripting publishing as a whole. If we do with
dita...
