I agree that Java hasn't had time to mature, but I've been using _1.1_
for almost 2 years, are you sure you have your timelines right ?

Remeber Java is evolutionary not revolutionary. java is more an
improvement on C++ then a completely new way of doing things. You're
right that we shouldn't expect to much too soon, but just how long iare
we supposed to wait, with one company controlling the process I don't
expect progress to be very quick.
