Hi, I know I have asked this question before. I would like to use 2D textures to come up with a 3D image of the brain. I have gone through a number of websites and papers on this subject-Ray Casting and the splatting algorithms in particular. But all of them give me a description of the algorithm. I am not able to see how I can implement it in Java 3D. Can someone give me a general idea how to implement ray casting? Is it somewhere along the lines of using the lighting feature in Java 3D as the ray along which to estimate intensities?
