It is not that I don't care about licensing terms of software products. 
  I do.  And I favor Free Software products.

However, unless you are making decisions as to whether to include a 
library as part of your product, I don't believe people care about 
software licensing as much as they claim they do.  And most of us are 
not making that decision for most of the products.

For those of you who claim you care very much about software licenses, 
here is a quick quiz:  Under what licenses are you using (or not using) 
the following popular Java-ish products?

   1. mail.jar
   2. asm.jar
   3. JRuby
   4. Grails
   5. JBoss Seam
   6. Scala

My hunch is that you have to do a little bit of Googling (or reread the 
license file in the product directory) before you can answer the 
question completely and accurately (at least for the five other products 
that you did not write).

Considering that the Posses are doing this wonderful podcast on their 
own time, I do not wish to add the extra work onto their shoulders (work 
that us listeners can do quite capably).  They are busy creating and 
producing the podcast as it is.
