I can't really answer that, but there are at least two reasons for that: a) I care about the license only when considering adding a library/product, which somehow often coincides with hearing about it on the podcast b) I don't use any of these The license information is an extremely good first filter for my interest in a library/product and having it on the podcast saves me not only time but also mental effort since I usually can't just look it up right at the time of listening. And I really don't see how the difference between "open source" and "open source under the X license" makes that much of a difference for those who don't care.
