But what do we take "maintenance mode" to mean? "Maintenance" as in "we're currently fixing a problem", or as in "no further enhancements or content planned, just keeping the archive around."
It's weird -- a year or two ago, jcp.org was supposed to undergo a huge do-over that was going to be much more interactive, they debuted it for a few days, then immediately pulled it back and acted like it never happened. Notice this press release <http://jcp.org/en/press/ news/JavaOne_wrapup_2009>, which says "Since the new JCP.org website supports the push toward transparency and agility, there was a quick overview of some of the useful features. For example, the website offers discussion boards with adjustable settings (public, observer, private), Bugzilla issue tracking, wiki functionality, and a customizable JSR watch list. It's easier to register, join and update personal profile and contact information, too." Anybody ever notice that on the public jcp.org? I think it got pulled before it got noticed (or maybe it was a closed beta that I was somehow in?), and a year later, it's like it's been forgotten. --Chris On Jun 2, 5:53 am, Fabrizio Giudici <[email protected]> wrote: > BTW, jcp.org works from where I'm now (Zurich).
