OK at this point I'm going to wade back in. I think the pointed
criticism is unwarranted and insensitive, there are more constructive
ways to ask for a change in focus than to attack one individual or say
that the show doesn't cater for your interests. Instead of
criticising, suggest specific topics you'd like to see covered.

Personally I don't want the panel to change, I enjoy the show and I
enjoy the debate. If people don't like it, please move along elsewhere
rather than risk hounding people out of doing something they love.

I'm also apologising for suggesting that a slow down in Java was an
influencing factor in moving to once a fortnight. I enjoy the show
more now than before but it was something in the back of my mind when
I sat at Devoxx listening to the posse make this particular
announcement. I'm aware of one UK Java group that is sinking as I
speak and I do think that the slowdown in (core) Java innovation is
partly to blame for this.

On the subject of splitting the podcast I listen to MacCast. I
download the 'enhanced' feed that has chapter markers so every time I
hear 'iPad' I just hit fast forward and skip that section entirely...
right now I'm voting with Dick, I can see me skipping iPhone sections
too as I'm now a proud Nexus One owner and Android developer (albeit
unpublished for now) and my iPhone has gone to live with my other half
who drains the battery each night playing Demonless.

Keep 'casting, guys!
