I'm neither optimistic or pessimistic. This move is making clear
Oracle's strategy, that there must be only a single open implementation
of Java, and it's OpenJDK. Thus the reluctant Google must be forced by
law to move Android under the OpenJDK umbrella. My full thought at the

I'd stress the last quotation, from the Eclipse Foundation praising the
move.
