I can see how you'd be able to quickly flip between systems running in parallel with this approach, but how well does it fare with regards to seamless windowing? Allowing multiple apps from more than one OS to all show distinct windows on the same screen at the same time, in the same fashion as parallels, virtualbox, eXceed, or even Citrix Metaframe.
One thing at a time... In any case, there are other problems to solve too. For instance: Snow Leopard runs well as a guest in a Linux host, with the exception of the display. The problem is that, in spite of having enabled "hw acceleration" in VMWare, Mac OS X needed a specific driver (from the VMWare tools) and the performance isn't by far the same as a native Mac OS X. Considering that one of the primary purposes of Mac OS X - at least for me - is manipulating media, screen performance is a must... Let's say it's decent, but I'm searching for an improvement. Also, there are still residual issues for color calibration and I've not tried yet two monitors. All of these things would really make me prefer to find a way to have the Mac OS X guest be able to directly access the video card, giving up to seamless windowing (that clearly excludes a direct access to hardware).
