Some people think the scanners are immodest or a complete invasion of privacy. The courts have not decided on that. People have their own beliefs, so if they feel so strongly against it, they should not fly. Flying is not mandatory. It is just the fastest way to get from one place to another. I think it is better than a complete body pat-down which is the alternative. I really don't like having to do either but the public wants safe airlines so there you go.
