I dunno, I can see Apples viewpoint. Apple has invested millions of dollars in research, development, production, support to create a very popular platform. Now publishers can come and put out an app for free and take complete advantage of the platform for their own benefit, and not have to pay a penny to do so. Plus they don't have to pay anything to support distribution, they just upload a new version of the 'magazine/newspaper/etc' and Apple foots the bill.
