There is a twist, If Apple has done something that generates a story (aka content) for the magazine, you bet they will use it without charging Apple. Even if it does feed back into the buzz of people wanting Apple products.
Now, would they love to monetize the story as well? I'm sure. But this is akin to the magazines charging theaters on a per attendee basis for all movies that were advertised.
