I will defend Kohsuke.
I don't know the details and my intention is not to "defend" anyone, but I wouldn't blame Kohsuke too. First, an employee-employer relationship is not a marriage (fortunately!). Second, you get paid for giving something in exchange, not for a gratuitous gift by the employee. It goes on as soon as both parties think it's an advantage for both, otherwise it gets broken. It's pretty normal that business relationships get broken because there's a divergence of interests - in our case, both Kohsuke and Oracle do their legitimate interests. Is he acting as a prima donna? I don't know, I know that he's popular and he deserves it and if he's exposing himself for business reasons I don't see any reason for blaming him.
