a: Upgrading to JAWS 9 would help some.

A: Eloquence  does use a lot of resources, but in my opinion it is one of 
the better synthesizers and I doubt using another synthesizer would gain 
that much.

a: That would require so many versions of JAWS that it would be impractable, 
yes chopping code out of the program might very well improve the 
performance, but at a high cost.
