I'm using AVG also and occasionally I will hear that message, but it goes away
immediately and causes no problems.  I don't know why it's staying up unless
it's trying to tell you that you are replying to an email that's got a virus or
it's being very slow in scanning the incoming email for some reason.  Does this
happen all of the time or could AVg be updating or something?  I'm just
speculating now.  What email client are you using?
