I don't have AVG 8.0 on my computer, just my kids computer. But in 7.5, I
had to configure AVG to turn off notification of incoming and outgoing email
scanning. I have an account I don't use much that gets about 300 junk mail
messages a day. The momentary dialog that pops up some times screws up
focus. I don't remember how to get to the options / preferences dialog for
email, but I remember that there were checkboxes to disable this on both the
incoming and outgoing pages of the dialog box. I also unchecked the
"certify" checkboxes to turn off the phantom "attachments" that JAWS would
announce for each message that was not there.
