I almost have your problem in hand but I'm not really clear on some of your
terms.
What do you mean by "balance forward" ? Does that mean the balance prior to
the other transactions.
Here it is in simple text form. Tell me if that is what you mean.
Current balance minus payments plus deposits equals ending balance.
Before I write your formula, make sure I'm straight on the terms.

Hey Gang,
I'm trying to figure out how to write a formula with excel 2003, but every
time I do, I'm doing something wrong.
Here is what I want.
In cell h3 should be the balance forward, e4 should be payment to, f4

be deposits, and g4 is the balance.
Can some one tell me the steps on writing a formula?
I'm using Jaws 8, windows XP, and excel 2003.
