Type the formula below in cell G4:
=h3-E4+F4
You can copy the formula in G4 to G5 when you have activity in the
5th row and you will have a new balance.

Would be glad to help, but are not sure what you're trying to do.
E.g., what is balance forward? What is pay to? If you can
describe in words what you are trying to do, I can easily translate
that into a formula for you.

I'm trying to figure out how to write a formula with excel 2003, but every
time I do, I'm doing something wrong.
Here is what I want.
In cell h3 should be the balance forward, e4 should be payment to, f4 should
be deposits, and g4 is the balance.
Can some one tell me the steps on writing a formula?
I'm using Jaws 8, windows XP, and excel 2003.
