How to Alphabetize a List in Work/Word Documents Introduction I like making lists. I like adding to these lists. The best way I have found to keep my lists organized in a way that I can find the information I need quickly is by using alphabetical lists. Then when I add something new the list can be updated instantly. Instructions Step One Type your list, in no particular order, with each item on a separate line. Step Two Highlight the complete list with control-A or (using the mouse, left click on it as you scroll down the list). Step Three Go to the tool bar. Click on "Table" and then "Sort." Another menu appears. Allow the first option to say Paragraphs and the type to say Text, and then Ascending. Click the okay button down on the button. The list reappears in alphabetical order. Step Four Add more to the bottom of the list as necessary. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to alphabetize the list again with the additions. Tips & Warnings list of 1 items . Take your time in learning the process. Once you learn it, it will be a piece of a cake to remember. list end ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Ferrin" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 7:31 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] sorting in word 2000 I recently retrieved the list of members for this group from the server and saved it in a word document. Now I'd like to sort it alphabetically because the server doesn't do that itself. So the question is how do I accomplish this minor feet of magic?
