ah, ok, so now it happened with 9? did it before you installed 10?

that bit has me interested, mean, why should installing 10 have any affect on prior versions?

is it possible to turn off this menu?

Have you asked someone to look at your screen for you to check that menu is up there?

Am just honking that if this menu was hidden for example then that would explain jaws not responding to the keystroke wouldn't it?

Am I correct with thinking F11 is also maximise? could try that see if that works at least.

What does happen is that it takes me to the file menu, and no where else.

I have also confirmed that it also happens with Jaws 9, so I'm beginning to
think that, either a repair of Jaws is in order, or checking my Windows
settings to find out if anything is taking focus away from this keystroke.
