On my computer running Vista, Once on the File menu pressing the left arrow
also takes me to the Help menu and likewise, pressing the right arrow from
the Help menu takes me directly too the File menu. This is now the normal
operation. In order to get to the "System menu", you must either press the
Alt + spacebar at the same time or press the spacebar once anywhere in the
menu bar. I guess your space key is working or your entire message would be
one humongous word!

Even after a re-start, I am faced with the same thing.
The thing is, Donald, when I press the alt key, I get the standard file
menus, and can arrow through them all, however, if I go to the left, of
the
file menu, or the right of the help menu, I just wrap around to the first
menu, when these actions should take me to the system menu, so, as you can
see, it's as if the menu isn't there, even though I can reach it with the
Jaws cursor.
Very perplexing indeed. Grins.
