Something I would like to add to this thread is with PC cursor on it does not recognize the my account as a link. I did activate the log in screen a couple of times with PC cursor on and simulating a left mouse click. Any time after simulating a left mouse click i pressed f to find an edit field and a couple of times it actually located a log in edit field and a password edit field. However, I did have much more success with routing PC cursor to JAWS and then moving to about the y on my account and then again I simulated a left mouse click. I think everytime I routed to JAWS and found the my account and pressed the keys mentioned above it activated the login screen. After simulating a left mouse click with routing to JAWS I turned on the PC cursor again and then pressed the keys to find the edit fields. Gerald you may be familiar with this method but for the ones that are unaware of how to take care of this situation I wanted to provide the way I found to take care of it. Had you asked me about a year ago I would have had no clue how to take care of it myself.

Yep, after I hit Enter on "My Account", I pressed the E key, but JAWS announced "There are no edit boxes on this page." I tried JAWS 10 with the same result. But interestingly, when I tried System Access to Go, I was able to activate the "My Account" link and bring up the log in page with the user ID and password fields, and I was able to log in successfully to my account. Very strange.

Did you try finding edit fields after you pressed enter on the My account mouseover link? If it weren't for that tiny navigation click, I wouldn't have known anything happened because I don't get the verbal progress indicators and JAWS doesn't automatically move me to an edit field.

Using JAWS 9, when I hit enter on "MY Account", nothing happens, and I don't get the user ID and Password edit fields. And accessing the Context menu, the Forward" option is unavailable, which means that this link was not activated. I wonder if the fact that I already have an accountis somehow preventing me from activating the My Account link. Maybe I'll try my demo version of JAWS 10 or System Access to Go to see if that makes any difference.

Hi. I'm using JAWS 10 with IE 8, but give this a try.

I pressed enter on my account. I heard the navigation click in IE eight, so I knew something had changed on the page. you're correct that there's not anything obvious for JAWS to load. But, on a hunch, I went to the top of the page and pressed E in case there was an enter field. Bingo. There are two enter fields, one for user name and one for password. The fields are labeled correctly, but they are seen as mouse over links for JAWS. I was able to both press enter and left click on these fields to activate forms mode.

I couldn't go any further because I don't have an account.

HTH and good luck.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Unable to Access Web Site Log In Page

Greetings listers. Recently, I created an account with Page Plus Cellular, a prepaid wireless provider that offers some of the cheapest rates around. In order to review my account, I need to access the log in page by activating the "My Account" link on the PPC home page. When I arrow down to "My Account", JAWS 9 announces "MY Account mouse over" but does not announce "link". When I hit Enter on this object, nothing happens. When I press Insert-Control-Enter, JAWS announces "content has changed", but again, I do not get the log in page. I have tried every keystroke combination I can think of to no avail. I can't find any other link to the log in page. Am I missing something, or is this link set up in such a way that JAWS can't activate it? For anyone who's interested , check out the following web page, arrow down to "My Account", and see if you can figure out how to activate it to bring up the log in page. Thanks.
