It would better assist you if you could cite us example of the pages to
look at.
What are the elements recognised as, then? Are the Web pages Flash? If
they are or if they have graphics associated with them, these graphics
can be single-left-clicked. If you have the JAWS Cursor tracking the
virtual cursor, you could route it to the Virtual PC Cursor and
single-left-click the element; or use the physical mouse to left-click
it.
There's also a utility developed by Jim Snowbarger (I think), called
HotSpotClicker, which might be of some assistance.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] how to click on link that isn't recognised as link
I am having a problem on some web pages where jaws isn’t recognising
that something can be clicked on and therefore won’t activate by
entering on it. The tab key completely skips past them too. Is there an
alternative command to allow me to click on items like these? I am
using the most current versions of both jaws and windows. Can anybody
who may be able to help message me directly please so that I don’t have
to traul through the lengthy digest to search for an answer? Thank you
to anybody who can assist
