Thanks. Hitting F11 did the trick and restored the address bar.
Apparently, I must have inadvertently hit F11 and turned on full screen mode
so that the address bar was not showing. Pressing F11 again to toggle full
screen mode off and restore normal mode fixed the problem.

Hi Gerald,
Here are some notes I've saved regarding this issue. See if 1 of them
will
help.
There is a possibility the address bar was moved or jiggled out of
position.
To restore it is tricky without sighted assistance, but look for the
address
bar items with your Jaws cursor and when you find it, hit the left mouse
button twice quickly and it will bounce bac, into place. A sighted person
with
a mouse can just double click with a mouse anywhere in the address bar
field.
In an earlier message that involved IE6, he added this note:
the first thing to do is go to the view menu, toolbars, and make sure you
only have standard buttons and address bar checked and not any others. For
example
if you have Norton Anti-virus, then uncheck it.
I know you don't have Norton antivirus, but it's an example of what he
means.
***
Make sure the Internet Explorer window is maximized and the full screen
mode
is off.
To toggle between normal view and full screen, use F11.
***
You might want to try hitting f11 and see what this does. F11 sets your
browser to full screen and no menue or task bars will show. This is a
toggle
so hit it once to turn off and hit again to turn on
Take care.
Mike

When I press F6, the field is empty; there is no address. Something is
really screwed up, or else I pressed some keystroke combination by mistake
and now cannot view the contents of the address bar.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Copy Command Doesn't Work
I don't understand what's going on, but all of a sudden whenI press Alt-A
in IE 8 to place the address of a web page into the address bar and then
press Control-C to copy it to the clipboard, JAWS announces "copy line"
instead of "copy selected text to clipboard", and I can apparently no
longer copy web addresses to the clipboard. How can I fix this problem
and restore the normal copy function? Thanks.
Gerald
