I have to disagree, David. A router's firewall capabilities are just as valuable for a single computer as for multiple computers. Only _very_ rarely do I ever have more than one computer connected to my router, but I still wouldn't be without it. And my response to her question about how she would know if she needs one would be that if she doesn't have one, she needs one, but that's really opinion and not demonstrable fact. <g>
