I think you _should_ be able to do this, but when I tried to get an old Windows 98 system set up as you want, I never did succeed. It doesn't have nearly the native networking functionality as even XP Home, let alone XP Pro, but if you can figure out how to make it work, you definitely should be able to move files back and forth as easy as pie (or delta or sigma or something like that). <g>
