How well that works can be seen in the wiki. We don't really have moderation 
there, and the comment sections are a wasteland. They either should be page 
edits, questions on SO or the mailing lists, or not posted at all.

Since this isn't going to be a website where posts cycle quickly and everything 
older than a week disappears, we'll have comment sections with unanswered 
questions from years ago, just like some wiki pages. I'd prefer having no 
comment sections at all over those, and rather bundle discussions on the 
mailing list.
