RedHat Linux 7.2/Apache 1.3.23/Tomcat 4.0.1 We've been having the problem where Jetspeed overwrites our xreg files with earlier copies; one of my co-workers gets around this by shutting down, editing the files, and then restarting.
When I tried this, I shut down Tomcat (but not Apache), changed the file "local-portlets.xreg", started Tomcat and restarted Apache. Ever since, the portlets I have created are unavailable. I have renamed this file (twice). I have closed and reopened all browser windows, and restarted both Tomcat and Apache, repeatedly, in various orders. I created a new user; that account cannot access those portlets either. I checked the psml files but found nothing out of the ordinary. velocity.log, error.log, today's apache log, and today's tomcat log shed no light (and jetspeed.log is 185.1 Mb).
