The file began life as "local-portlets.xreg". When I
couldn't find my portlets in the "Add Portlets"
screen, I tried renaming that file to
"kates-portlets.xreg" - Jetspeed is supposed to pick
up every xreg file, right? Later, out of frustration,
I renamed the file again ("kate-portlets.xreg"). 

It looks like I can get to every portlet that comes
with Jetspeed, but none that I have created.
