In that case, yes, insert-j will work and bring up the JAWS menus. Press enter on options, then arrow down once and press enter on voices. Press enter on "voice adjustment." You'll land on a list of profiles, depending on how many you have created. My guess is you'll have only one. But whatever, make sure a profile is selected. Then tab through your choices.
You may need to read up on JAWS' profiles to understand how all this works. -----Original Message----- From: j Bron [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2014 6:14 PM To: Adrian Spratt Subject: RE: adjusting jaws settings I just did what you suggested and Jaws was not among the open applications (windows list) even though Jaws is certainly working. Find out by pressing alt-tab. Specifically, hold down the alt key and press tab once, listen for what JAWS says, then keeping alt pressed, press tab again, and so on. Keep doing this until JAWS has verbalized all the open applications. If one of these applications is JAWS, then you don't have it in the system tray. Can you test that first, then post again? The next step will depend on the answer. -----Original Message----- From: j Bron [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2014 12:41 PM To: Adrian Spratt; 'The Jaws for Windows support list.'
