Can you give me the link to jaws profiles? I have only two options as you
predicted. Judith

In that case, yes, insert-j will work and bring up the JAWS menus.

Press enter on options, then arrow down once and press enter on voices.
Press enter on "voice adjustment." You'll land on a list of profiles,
depending on how many you have created. My guess is you'll have only one.
But whatever, make sure a profile is selected. Then tab through your
choices.

You may need to read up on JAWS' profiles to understand how all this works.

I just did what you suggested and Jaws was not among the open applications
(windows list) even though Jaws is certainly working. Judith

The threshold question here is whether you have JAWS in the system tray.
Find out by pressing alt-tab. Specifically, hold down the alt key and press
tab once, listen for what JAWS says, then keeping alt pressed, press tab
again, and so on. Keep doing this until JAWS has verbalized all the open
applications. If one of these applications is JAWS, then you don't have it
in the system tray.

Can you test that first, then post again? The next step will depend on the
answer.

I just went through the jaws options and couldn't find anything about Jaws
residing in system tray. Can anyone tell me how to get Jaws into the system
tray? Thanks, Judith

Maybe you haven't checked the box in JAWS options to have JAWS reside in the
system tray.

Sure its jaws related. I get a list of jaws keystrokes but no options or
voices.

Is what you get when you press ins+j at least jaws related? Just saying you
get something else isn't much help on that point.
