I think thats unrealistic, but would be nice. It's more likely to be
around half to maybe a full day tops. Problem is that the wifi,
although idle, needs to be active and connected to the network to make
remote instantly 'always on' responsive and ready to go as soon as
(before) you pick it up. Even with modern wireless networks built power
management, PDA's etc drop the connection to save power when idle, but
this delay would be a pain for the SBC. at least thats what i believe
is going on, correct?

But it needs work and i am sure i read that they were saying it's more
a software optimisation rather than just a hardware one - so better
power management is coming even to the beta units?


I'm thinking of raising an enhancement request to add option would give
users the ability to override this constant connection and increase
battery performance at the expense of responsiveness. Good idea?
