I tried that mode several times too(ethernet cable in the receiver and connect the controller through the receiver), and it gets to the part where it's searching for music sources, it finds the squeezecenter or squeezenetwork, but can never connect to it.. (In the normal wifi mode it works fine..) I also tried to skip that step and try to pick it up from the menu, but it won't let me .. The receiver's led is white though so it must be connected? but after I skip the music source and get the menu I cannot choose a player (it doesnt show any), and although it shows the music sources it doesnt let me connect to them ..
Guess it connects to the receiver during setup, but then cannot do anything from there ..
