Great idea, this is basically how the iPod works and i really like
being able to turn off my ipod effortlessly and with even looking, but
thats mainly because i use it in my car.

With the SBr, i'm not to bothered and i dont worry about it too much.
All you are really doing is turning the LED off. Correct me if i am
wrong, but basically the SBr never really powers down, it's always
connected to your Wifi and server.

The controller does do IR, but yes it sometimes would be nice to be
able to customise the menus, even if it was done via the web interface
- mainly to add finer control over server settings that you can do with
the old IR and SB3. Probably absent to make it seem simpler for the
"non-nerds" that seem to be ever present and shouting in GD :D But
again, for the very few times i need to access these settings, it fine
to go and use the web interface and keep the Jive UI un-cluttered.
There is always the retro browser too. Personally, i like it the way it
is.
