Er, but that's exactly what annoys me about my iPod - that I have to
navigate up to the top (no Home key, even!) and back down again just to
change the shuffle mode.  Unless there's some trick I've never
learned...

At least I can expect that someone will let me reprogram the Duet's
keymap so I can switch shuffle modes more easily; little chance of that
ever happening on my iPod...

... well, I guess that using Rockbox on my iPod might be one way to get
a better interface.  I have vague and unsubstantiated memories that
Rockbox would be more power-hungry, so I'm always worried that I'd be
throwing out the baby with the battery-watcher. :-)
