Please, don't turn the Jive remote into another remote control where where you have to remember all sorts of cryptical key combinations to access specific functions.
What we need is some sort of context menu which could be launched and visually give the user the option to select what he wants to do. This way you only have to remember the key combination that launches the context menu. As Ben mentioned this is described here: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6021 I guess I'm probably missing something obvious but I can't really see why this would be a huge implementation effort. We just need a way for providers to register a text together with a CLI command for a specific type of object. On the Jive side we just need to be able to retrieve the list of registered commands for the selected type of object and display them in a menu so the user can select one of the commands. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43760 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
