I normally let winamp search for artwork. Do this by sorting by, for instance, "Album Artist/Album Art", navigate to the artist at hand and set or update the artwork by right clicking on the album and select "Get Album Art" or "Refresh Album Art" and select the proper artwork. No clue where the get it from.
It will store the artwork most of the time as cover.jpg which will be recognized by squeezecenter. Most of time as in, not always. I just had it locate the artwork for Carnavas from Silversun Pickups. It stored it as Caranvas.jpg that SqueezeCenter ignored. Copied it in the same folder to cover.jpg and, presto, it was there.
