In terms of learning all the sonar stuff, also remember a lot of it isn't necessarily specific to Sonar; If you want to know about parametric EQ, phaser, Compression and such like, well there are plenty of tutorials about them, which more-or-less apply to any parametric EQ/compressor, weather its sonar's effects set, or that from a differn DAW. Personally I learnt mostly by experimentation and reading everything I could on the net , some was sonar specific tutorials, some generic information about digital mastering/recording. Some things like audio snap I don't have too much interest in wanting to use anyhow, as I'd rather learn to play in time/tempo than use a tool like that to correct poor technique, and in some ways the few years I've spent learning sonar and moving up through the sonar versions, I've gone the other way, and probably oughta turn back a bit now and stop learning sonar stuff and instead learn how to play all these instruments that clutter the house up...
I've been thinking about putting together a simple tutorial of Sonar with the JSonar scripts for some time; A very basic thing of how to record a tune, using both instruments (guitar and bass), and virtual instruments/soft-synths. However, I'm not sure how useful it'd be, as I see a lot of you and how you insert soft-synths and such like isn't how I do it as I find it easier to just insert it manually in the FX bin on an audio track and send the output of the MIDI track to that soft-synth in that way rather than messing about with the synth rack which to me at least seems an unecessary complication.... But I guess no two people do the same thing in the same way in Sonar, as most tasks have multiple ways of achieving the same end-result.
