After going back and looking at some of the fine print at
  http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/InfoTc
I see the usual assortment of one-sided lawyer-ese that essentially
surrenders in advance in the event of any-of-many misdeeds on my part.
Some of the terms are poorly drafted, but of understandable intent --
eg, no child-porn. Nevertheless there is nothing I could see about
resolving false alarms or restitution after repair of 3rd-party damage.

Google also tells me of some complaints that their unconditional
money-back cancellation guarantee really has conditions if you accept
certain promotions. This is true, and while they do point out the
non-applicability of their money-back idea, it does fall into something
akin to bait-and-switch.

Nevertheless, I am still reasonably content with value received, even if
I do maybe have a better appreciation for avoiding single-point risk of
data loss (say, due to actions of someone else I allow to create content).

Has anyone seen terms that don't have such david/goliath discrepancies?
Does any provider actually promise to protect your data even in cases of
usage disputes? Or to arbitrate disputes? Or anything else more "equal".

Regards,
..jim
