Hm? Histograms for grades shouldn't be _THAT_ bad.

Use some =countif to generate an auxiliary row or columns with the
counts, and then display those as bar-graphs.

Somewhere I have (or had... who knows where I put it) a spreadsheet
that would find the maximum grade in a column, generate the list of
buckets (90% of highest score => A, etc.), and assign the appropriate
letter grade.

Generating the histogram was an additional set of =countifs, using
the bucket boundaries, to give counts for each... five minutes for
the basics, a half-hour of twiddling just because I can't not twiddle,
and bob's your uncle!

Getting the graph right takes more work.

That being said, I still reach for StarOffice or Appleworks before
OpenOffice. :-/

Sorry if I'm belaboring the obvious. I can't say I ever *looked* for
a histogram feature in a spreadsheet package before.
