Yup, except not that strong. And FWIW James sent me a nice note off-list thanking me for explaining the issue, so we're cool. Email is an art, like all writing. Top, bottom, and interleave all have their place. I rarely mix them ... that is, if the cumulative email has been top posted by the time I add my remark, putting it on the bottom would just confuse things. In a broader sense, we all have strong opinions of what works and what doesn't. My list of nasties may not match yours, etc. But discussing these things and giving them some thought can't be bad.
