Oh, okay, I wasn't supposed to be reading your mind then. That's nice
to know. ;-P

Presumably, "at work" you can build up a definitive database of users
and their contact email addresses; the process of taking the union of
various mailing-list users can either be generated directly from you
list of users, without having to use sort -u on the appropriate lists.

For /your/ users, you get to set policy.   You don't need to fiddle-fart
around with doing it the hard way, surely. :)
